Garment Care

Tendril Skull 5 72To Launder Your Hand-Painted Garment

Simply hand wash in warm water, using a mild soap with very gentle hand agitation. Gently squeeze out excess moisture and lay flay on a towel to dry.  For best results, do not soak, wring or twist. Do not wash your garment in your washing machine or dry in your clothes dryer as this will damage your painting over time. You may use a warm iron to press your garment if necessary, but place a pressing cloth over the painting when ironing that section.

CAUTION: Do not allow the painted area of your garment to come into contact with rubbing alcohol as it will permanently damage the painting.

If you follow these directions your hand painted garment should last indefinitely.

Washing Instructions For DTG Printed Items.

At Arte del Corazόn, our primary goal is always customer satisfaction. To provide you with customized products, we use a process called DTG (Direct to Garment) printing. This allows us to offer the most unique products at the best prices. To insure that the art image looks fantastic for the life of the garment, we’ve put together some special care instructions. If followed, your DTG garment will last indefinitely.

  • Always wash garment inside out
  • For the first two washings, wash garment by itself
  • Hand or machine wash in cool water (NOT WARM OR HOT)
  • Never use bleach
  • Line dry or machine dry on delicate setting
  • If the item must be ironed, do so inside out and NEVER IRON printed area directly!

Guarantee of Satisfaction

We guarantee your complete satisfaction, yet as each art piece is a uniquely created, one-of-a-kind, hand painted original, there will be slight differences in each piece. Johanna will remain as close as possible to the design and colors you have selected, but your piece will not be identical to the sample. This is the best part of owning a jacket painted by Johanna. You are the only one who will have one!

On custom jackets, you will receive a detailed proof prior to Johanna beginning your painting. Once approved, the process begins. Due to the nature of wearable art and the need for fabric to remain flexible, repainting is not possible. Consequently, we cannot be held responsible for your jacket, should you choose to send us your jacket on which to create a painting.
